Ellie's First Christmas Present

Dad and Laurie were awesome and gifted Ellie some new pet mice. Here is that hilarious selection process. (note: the "pet mice" are toy mice... no actual mice were harmed in the making of this post).

Step 1: Decision 2010. We only let her play with one mouse at a time. Becca had the hilarious idea to put all the toys from Grandpa and Grandma out and let Ellie choose...


Step 2: The choice has been made and the white mouse gets hauled off down the hallway.


Step 3: Ellie takes the white mouse up onto the bed to take it for a test run.


Step 4: Adios, mouse! check out those GIANT paws! We love this picture.


Step 5: Thanks G and G! She loves the mouse and is clearly tuckered out.

Kath's Birthday (November 2010)

If you're just joining this day of blogging in progress, I'm trying to do some SERIOUS catching up! We're finally to November 2010 and you know what that means... my birthday! Here is how I rang in year 27:

Birthday Breakfast--thanks Becca!! Delicious surprise! Becca makes the best potato hash in the world and this was a delectable start to the morning. Check out our morning looks!

Birthday dinner! I made fajitas at mom's and opted for a pumpkin pie in lieu of cake. Delish and fun to spend time with the family as always, rounding the night out with a fiery game of Phase 10.

While cutting onions and tearing up, mom taught me a trick. Hold a piece of bread in your mouth like so, and voila! No more tears from onions. This has literally saved my fingers.... :)

As I have finally revisited our blog I realized that HERE I promised that I would post wedding pictures from Krys and Austin's July 2010 wedding. I failed to do that--oops!
